Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
